You can support this and future organ events by donating directly to the UF School of Music Organ Department: Donate to the Organ Department
It's too late to register now, but all events are open to the public! Registration is not required to attend. See the Schedule below for details. If you're not registered, the only things you won't be able to partake in are the two provided lunches (Saturday and Sunday).
Registration is free! Registrants will receive a keepsake from the event. Catered meals may not be available to those registering after January 12.
If you’re not able to make it, you can still submit a short video introducing yourself and sharing what you’re up to in life! We plan to combine these videos into a montage showing the history of the organ department at UF.
In 1924, Dr. Andrew Anderson, a philanthropist from St. Augustine, was so impressed by the newly constructed University Auditorium that he donated $50,000 toward the installation of a pipe organ in the space. Less than a year later, on June 7th, 1925, the organ was dedicated the Andrew Anderson Memorial Pipe Organ in a performance by William E. Zeuch.
In the hundred years since, the organ has undergone four major renovations and been the home of three University Organists. Countless students have practiced and performed here, as have an array of concert artists, from Marcel Dupré to Cameron Carpenter.
